Dbacks at Rockies, game four
can the rockies pull off the sweep and continue their miracle run?
Matt Holliday answered that with a resounding “yes!” in the 4th inning, as he hit a mammoth three run shot to center to cap a six run inning. As he rounded the bases to cheers of “M-V-P!” it seemed the Rockies would run away with this.
However, we’ve reached the top of the eighth, and Brian Fuentes has just given up a three run homer to Chris Snyder, followed up by a triple, both with two outs
What drama may unfold from here?
Red Sox at Indians, ALCS Game Three
So, the questions for this evening’s game:
Will the Indians’ extra-inning seven-run outburst from Saturday night be the emotional edge they’ve been looking for to lift them over the Red Sox to win the series by winning these next three games at Jacobs Field?
After picking up the game-winning RBI Saturday night and getting the start tonight in right field, will Trot Nixon continue his post-season heroics at the expense of his former club?
Or will Daisuke Matsuzaka stop any emotional lift dead in its tracks with a brilliant start tonight, despite being a mediocre pitcher (at best) over the last two months?
And how many times will Manny and Papi combine to get on base tonight? Ten? Twenty?
All these questions and more will be answered tonight as the ALCS goes to the shores of Lake Eerie for Game Three of the ALCS. Discuss.
