Geoff Baker provides perspective

Over on his blog, Geoff Baker points out that despite their 4-6 record, the M’s have taken two out of three series.  If they keep winning series then they desrve all this talk about being a contender.  Thanks for the dose of reality, Geoff!

Otherwise, they’ll be exposed as pretenders.  This weekend’s series against the Angels provides the first real test for the M’s this season, the four game sweep by the Orioles not withstanding.  So, let’s cross our fingers in hopes that Felix can finally vanquish the Great Jered Weaver, and maybe the M’s could possibly pull out two wins this series.  But Sunday’s match-up between Erik Bedard and Joe Saunders is looking like a doozy.
