With the announcement that Scott Spiezio was released by the Atlanta Braves’ Triple-A franchise, it could be assumed that the career of cabbie-beating, drunk-driving Spiezio, who posted an .064 average with the M’s in 2005, is all but finished.

It’s hard to believe that a loser like Spiezio has two World Championship rings while Junior Griffey and A-Rod have none, but such is the way the universe works.
