Dbacks at Rockies, game four

can the rockies pull off the sweep and continue their miracle run?

Matt Holliday answered that with a resounding “yes!” in the 4th inning, as he hit a mammoth three run shot to center to cap a six  run inning. As he rounded the bases to cheers of “M-V-P!” it seemed the Rockies would run away with this.

However, we’ve reached the top of the eighth, and Brian Fuentes has just given up a three run homer to Chris Snyder, followed up by a triple, both with two outs

What drama may unfold from here?

D’backs at Colorado, NLCS Game Three

Obviously, it requires Josh Fogg to face Livan Hernandez to get a dynamite pitching duel in this series.  Scored tied at one, going into the sixth.  Go D’backs.

And how about that Cleveland explosion?  Scoring more runs in the 13th inning than they had the entire game prior.  Crazy…

Rockies at D’Backs, NLCS Game Two

For those of us who have nothing us better to do than to follow the second game of a national league championship series completely devoid of excitement, the Rockies meet up against he Diamondbacks at Chase Field for Game Two of the 2007 NLCS.

This game provides the exciting playoff pitching match-up of Doug Davis versus Ubaldo Jimenez.  Woo.

Troy T.  and Brad Hawpe swap spots in the line-up.  Moving Hawpe down the line-up makes sense after knocking two of the Rockies’ five runs last night.  Tony Clark is starting at first base and batting clean-up for the D’Backs tonight, providing some “veteran presence” in for the Baby Backs’ line-up.

Gotta like the Ro’ chances to go up 2-0 in this series.

NLCS: Game 1, Rockies at Dbacks

Colorado holds a 4-1 advantage going into the bottom of the fifth. Will they continue their miracle run right throught to the world series, or can the baby backs mount a comeback and knock the rocks down?
